The Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra CS-L Combo is a compact, lightweight 1911-style pistol chambered for both 9mm and .22 TCM 9R. Its aluminum frame reduces carry weight while the 3.6-inch barrel preserves a practical balance of maneuverability and performance. The pistol uses a single-stack 8+1 magazine and combines a manual thumb safety with the traditional 1911 grip safety. A fiber optic front sight and adjustable LPA MPS1-type rear sight support rapid sight alignment and target-focused shooting. The skeletonized hammer and trigger include an adjustable overtravel stop, while textured G10 grips improve control. The pistol has a black hardcoat-anodized aluminum frame and black Parkerized steel components, and the included .22 TCM 9R accessory barrel expands its versatility beyond the primary 9mm configuration.
